Czech Republic

Travel Info

Airports:
The best destination to reach the Czech republic is the Prague airport. The second best place to fly in is Vienna, the capitol city of Austria, 50 miles south of the Czech border.

Visa:
U.S. citizens need a passport but no visa is required to visit the Czech republic. All hunters are obliged to declare their guns at the border crossing. The declaration process is based on documents issued by the outfitter (a letter of invitation)

The weather:
The Czech republic lies on the border between moderate Central European maritime and Eastern European continental climate. It has warm summers with the temperatures in upper 70's and mild overcast winters with the temperatures in lower 20's.

Currency:
The currency is the Ceska koruna. (Czech crown - CZK). U.S. dollars can be exchanged almost anywhere exchange offices and banks. The exchange rate is favorable toward USD and is daily updated by the Central bank. Credit cards (mostly Visa and MasterCard) are also accepted in many shops and restaurants.

Transportation:
Clients will be picked up and returned to the airport. The price also includes all transportation within the hunting area.

Accommodation:
We try to house our clients with our guides in Bed & Breakfast style of lodging. We recommend this arrangement to our clients as it gives them a great opportunity to see everyday live of the locals. This way our clients can experience things that most of the regular tourists do not get to learn and see. In some limited areas our guests and guides live in cabins located in hunting areas. If requested a hotel or castle accommodation is also available (the price may vary from the package cost).
R e m i n d e r:   Electrical outlets use 220V and round pin plugs.
