Roe Deer

The most popular game bird in Europe. Originally pheasants came from the Middle East and were introduced in Europe at the beginning of the Christian era. Today they are the most common game bird. The pheasants prefer open grassy areas with scattered tree vegetation.
The Czech Republic has a long tradition of quality pheasant production. The first pheasantries in southeast part of the Czech Republic (where our office is located) started as early as 1710. Current pheasant-keepers draw on almost 300 years of experience. There are 14 pheasantries located within 20 minutes from our office. Hunts are organized for groups only and the hunters come from around the world. Every hunter has his own porter carrying ammo and game.

The pheasant-hunting season starts October 16 through January 31. The best time to pheasants is December and January. The pheasants can be shot during the drives with the help of beaters or by walking and flushing. Pheasants can be shot with the shotguns only. Recommended shot sizes are 3, 4 and 5.
